VSA Tournament Regulations & Code of Conduct

 


Code of Conduct

All participants must show respect to referees, opponents, and tournament officials
Foul language, abusive behavior, or any form of violence will not be tolerated
Teams/players violating these principles may be immediately dismissed from the tournament


1. Age Groups and Divisions

U8 (2017 or later)

6 teams
7 vs 7 format Size 4 ball

 

* Important Notice:

Strict adherence to the age category shall be maintained. All players must bring photo ID or supporting document for proof of age. We reserve the right to verify the age of a player. If no ID or proof of age can be shown, it will result in an automatic loss for the team with the unverified player and the opposing team will gain 3 points. However, if both teams in a match fail to produce ID, the original standing will remain. A final calculation will be made at the end taking into consideration any over-age penalties prior to rankings and awards.

 

2. Match Format

Each match consists of two 15-minute halves with a 5-minute half-time break

Each team plays 4 matches

 

3. Point System and Rankings

Win:    3 points

Draw:  1 point

Loss:    0 points

Maximum of 6 goals per match will be recorded for any team

Rankings determined by:
- Total points accumulated

- Goal difference (goals scored minus goals conceded) - Head-to-head result between tied teams
- Penalty Kicks

 

4. Match Rules

Standard FIFA rules apply unless otherwise specified Substitutions:

Unlimited substitutions allowed
Can only be made during stoppages in play
Must receive referee's permission before entering

Team Colors:
For games where both teams have similar jersey colors, the team listed on the left side of the schedule is considered the home team
The home team is responsible for changing the color of their jersey

 

5. Disciplinary Rules

Yellow Card: Player receives a warning
Two Yellow Cards: Player is ejected from current match
Red Card: Player is ejected from current match and suspended for the next match

All disciplinary decisions are final
